We meet as a group every Wednesday to focus on Welsh activities in school. We have representatives from each class who talk about how we use Welsh during our day to day tasks and what we can do to improve the amount of Welsh we use. One of our favourite activities is to spy on our teachers to make sure they are using the language every day. Sometimes we have to remind them! We also practise different Welsh games as a group. We plan to take these out into the playground to help others use the language during our playtimes. We also go on visits around the school to check that Welsh has a strong focus in our classrooms and other parts of the school building. Every time any child uses Welsh during the day, they are rewarded with a Tocyn Iaith Gymraeg (a Welsh Language token). Our teachers record these on our Dojo reward chart. We all try our best to collect as may as we can!
Diolch (thank you)
